What is it?
Foot, leg or back pain can result from abnormal foot function e.g. flat feet.  This can sometimes be corrected by Foot Orthotics (inserts that fit in footwear).  Firstly, an assessment of foot function is needed to identify where the pain is located, what structure is affected and why that may be. If appropriate your podiatrist can then issue you with footwear advice, an orthotic and/or a stretching programme which will help to reduce your symptoms.

How do I Know if I have a Problem?
You should seek assistance:
If you are experiencing any foot pain, leg pain or back pain
If you get tired and aching feet not experienced by your peers after standing or walking.
If you "limp"
If you are experiencing foot problems in sporting activities
If you are concerned about your feet
